"Be like the sun for grace and mercy. Be like the night to cover others' faults. Be like running water for generosity. Be like death for rage and anger. Be like the Earth for modesty. Appear as you are. Be as you appear."

Rumi

Don't you just wish the entire night sky would shorten its distance between you and it, to cloak and embrace you? You'd want to wrap your arms around the stars... but only your eyes are granted the permission to gaze upon their magnificence...

When I make my sajdah, I close my eyes and envision the stars, Ya Rabb. I see the distance of the night's dark horizon and the stars that lace it. And You... strangely, hidden behind the dark, mysterious curtain of the night, yet, in the air, Your Magnificence lingers. The bright stars testify Your existence. La ilaha illa Allah.
